Burn, Baby, Burn!

1999

Video installation (Betacam SP), colour, sound, 60 min. (concept, directing, camera, editing, special effects)

A video projector and two turning prisms in a tower cast a projection on the walls similar to the way a lighthouse projects its light over the sea. So the projection is turning around on the walls. What we see are dancing people, deformed in such a way that they start to look like Sirens.

(during transport, the projection tower got stolen – this lead to the creation of the second version of the installation)
